Planning a visit to ICT & Logistiek? LogistiekProfs shows an overview of seminars, stands and tours worth visiting.

1. Supply Chain Arena

The image of supply chain management is undergoing a transformation: it is becoming increasingly clear that it is a management methodology that has a positive effect on the total organisation and on the entire chain. At ICT & Logistiek, the Supply Chain Arena will pay extra attention to this theme, offering supply chain managers and directors a tailor-made programme focusing on all the different aspects of the profession.

These include workshops by renowned speakers such as Prof Dr Jack van der Veen (professor Nyenrode Business University) and Prof Dr Bram Desmet (CEO Solventure Belgium and professor Vlerick Business School).

More information on the Supply Chain Arena can be found here.

Supply Chain Speed Consults

Actually part of the Supply Chain Arena, but worth mentioning: The Supply Chain Speed Consults. Would you like personal advice on an issue from your own supply chain practice? Then book a speed consult during the exhibition with one of the speakers or with one of the other experts present. They will be available for one-to-one, 10-minute talks in which you can discuss your own case.

AIM Tours

With an overwhelming range of exhibitors and innovations, visitors at a trade fair can sometimes lose their way through the trees. That's what the AIM Tours are for. These 'group tours' bring visitors up to date with the latest developments in AUTO-ID and WMS in no time. With both tours, you book about six exhibitors in groups.

The AUTO-ID Tour focuses on barcodes (1 and 2D), rfid, voice, wireless and fixed networks, mobile solutions and integration with logistics software packages such as ERP, WMS.
The WMS Tour will inform you about the latest developments and applications and implementations in the field of Warehouse Management Systems.

You can register for both the WMS and AUTO-ID Tour here.
In the drop-down menu, you can filter by theatres. There, select AIM Tour.

TLN Tours

A recurring phenomenon at ICT & Logistiek: The TLN Tours. Twice a day, TLN organises a tour along a selection of well-known and new suppliers of TMS (Transport Management Systems) and FMS (Fleet Management Systems). This will give visitors a quick insight into what the market of ICT suppliers currently has to offer. The tours start at 10.30 am (TMS) and 1 pm (FMS) and last about 1 hour. The tours are primarily intended for logistics and ICT professionals working at logistics service providers and shippers.

Big data & analytics

Managing stocks, planning routes, making strategic choices. All of this will be based on information, or data. Big Data & Analytics is an important sub-theme this year at ICT & Logistiek. Through substantive sessions, but also on the stands, Big Data and its analytics will be discussed exuberantly. Theatre 4 will host sessions related to Big Data. On 7 November , for example, there will be sessions Connected Logistics - How to avoid a digital spaghetti in data exchange, and Blockchain in logistics.

On 8 November, among other things, visit the session: 'How well do you really know the customer?" in which Fouad Allabari, Managing Director at HSO Analytics, explains how Artificial Intelligence (AI) allows you to really get to know your customer and thus predict better.

6. Selecting a WMS: experiences of a specialist

Due to the lightning-fast developments in logistics,n many companies are now forced to replace their old warehouse management system (WMS). What do you pay attention to when choosing a supplier and a new system? Independent WMS specialist Jos Koenders will share his experiences in WMS selection and implementation with you on both 7 and 8 November in the LogistiekProfs theatre.
You can register for this seminar here:
Wednesday 7 November | 10:30 - 11:15
Wednesday 7 November | 13:15 - 14:00
Thursday 8 November | 10:30 - 11:15
Thursday 8 November | 13:15 - 14:00

7. iSHARE

iSHARE is an innovative project of the Neutral Logistics Information Platform(NLIP). With the iSHARE agreement system, parties provide each other with access to their data. They use the same way of identification, authentication and authorisation, which means they do not have to make new agreements to share data every time.

iShare has its own stand at the fair, but also gives seminars. In this seminar, Marianne ter Veen, project manager at iSHARE, explains what the appointment system is and what you can do with it.
Wednesday 7 November | 12:00 - 12:30
Thursday 8 November | 12:00 - 12:30
