DL Logistics is converting all its six branches to a new software package from Boltrics, with which the logistics service provider hopes to create more unity in the way it works.
DL Logistics and Boltrics will start implementing 3PL Dynamics at the Schiphol, Bleiswijk and Vlaardingen sites. The other three sites will follow shortly.
Unity
With the new software package, DL Logistics aims to create more unity in the working methods of its six branches. "By streamlining work processes, DL expects to gain better insights for business operations at a central level," the company writes in a press release. Components such as EDI integrations and forwarding are now all aligned.
Process optimisation
"The main rationale for this transition is process optimisation," explains DL Logistics, "and if you want to optimise processes, first of all insight into them is necessary. Because all our branches had different ways of working, we had no central source of information. As a result, making reliable analyses became a time-consuming affair. The plans we have now made with Boltrics offer a lot of hope in this area."
