Vanas Engineering has signed a strategic cooperation agreement withScallog, a growing French manufacturer of robots. With this collaboration, the Belgian warehouse operator aims to accelerate the implementation of its goods-to-person offering in the Benelux region. For both Vanas and Scallog, that market is essential.
The new partnership fits seamlessly into Vanas' strategy to strengthen its long-term position in the Benelux region. This region, with its significant development potential and status as a hub for European logistics and distribution, is crucial for the company's growth. With some of the densest port, rail, road and waterway networks in the world, Benelux offers a unique opportunity for the ongoing commitment to improve warehouse efficiency. The partnership with Scallog offers many opportunities for innovation.
Scalable robots
Andy Van Mieghem, managing director at Vanas Engineering, says of the decision to partner with Scallog: “To enhance our product range, we were won over by Scallog’s approach. This robot supplier offers a complete ‘goods-to-person’ solution with robots that transport mobile racks to picking or replenishment stations. The solution is quick and easy to integrate and highly scalable. Scallog further distinguishes itself through the integrated software intelligence in its own WMS, which precisely caters to the requirements and specifications of each customer to enhance performance.”
He added: "Scallog's many successes in Belgium have fully convinced us of the value of their solution and its perfect fit with the challenges of logistics managers of SMEs in the Benelux, our main target audience."
Long-term collaboration
Rémi Badaroux, international business developer at Scallog, and Andy Van Mieghem of Vanas Engineering conclude: "We have a lot in common in terms of corporate culture and market approach. Our ambition is to develop a long-term partnership, strengthened by sharing and transferring skills, to win new customers, guarantee them satisfaction and logistical excellence, and thus increase our market share."
