Zeewolde-based Bakker Logistiek was hit by a hack last weekend. The automation system in the warehouse is down, resulting in fewer freights being able to run.

This does not cause any major problems, director Ton Verhoeven told Omroep Flevoland. "But when you no longer have an automation system, everything goes a bit slower." The company now works manually. "We can deliver less, but it does not lead to empty shelves in the shop," he says.

Bakker Logistiek supplies supermarkets, chain stores and retailers. The company drives for about three hundred customers in the Benelux and Germany. The hack is expected to be remedied early next week and the logistics provider will be working at normal capacity again. It is unclear who is behind the hack.
