Amazon wants to send more goods flows to Poland and the Czech Republic, in order to spare fulfilment centres in Germany. Webshops that outsource their fulfilment to Amazon will be compensated in costs if they bring their stock east.

Amazon offers online retailers in Europe the option to leave fulfilment to the etail giant. This service is called Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) and is provided from 28 European warehouses. These warehouses are mainly located in and around Germany, causing a shortage of stock space in this country. Amazon wants to spread this pressure on stock space and is therefore raising prices for storage and handling in Germany.
