Coolblue will add two new branches to its physical shop base before the end of this year. This is stated by director Pieter Zwart in an interview with 7ditches. It is still unclear where the shops will be located.
About 30 employees will work in both branches. The shops are intended for service and sales and should further boost Coolblue's turnover. Zwart says that turnover in physical shops is growing faster than turnover in webshops. In addition, the branches contribute to online sales. "In every city where we open a shop, we see online sales increasing. There is a causal relationship."
Coolblue currently operates seven shops in the Netherlands and Belgium. The branches can be found in major cities such as Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Groningen, Utrecht, Eindhoven, Antwerp and Ghent.
