US company Amazon may deliver parcels in England using drones.Initially, the intention was to use the drones in the United States, but Amazon did not get permission there. Testing was also not allowed. Amazon therefore decided to divert to another country.
England has given permission with the condition that the special delivery drones will only be used in rural areas to avoid accidents. In fact, Amazon wants to conduct tests outside the driver's field of vision and allow one driver to pilot multiple drones.
The Netherlands is also mentioned by Amazon as a test area, but it is not yet clear whether permission will be granted.
Fast delivery
Amazon has long felt the need to test parcel delivery with drones. The company aims to deliver parcels within half an hour.
