A majority of retailers expect Amazon to visit the Netherlands next year. This is according to a poll by RetailTrends and Q&A.
96 per cent of respondents expect Amazon to launch in the Netherlands. Sixty per cent think that will happen as early as next year. This expectation is not entirely out of the blue. Amazon already translated its German app and website into Dutch earlier this year.
The poll shows that retailers do not see Amazon as a threat. In fact, 28 per cent expect that the arrival of the online shopping giant will bring them more sales, for instance by selling via Amazon.
