The optimal shopping experience does not only apply in brick-and-mortar shops. Zalando understands this like no other and is launching a start-up programme to improve the shopping experience.
To provide each customer with the most personalised service possible, the online shop is starting collaborations with start-ups under the name 'Build'. Israel's Bllush is the first lucky one. The start-up links images from influencers to Zalando's webshop.
Start-ups that want to cooperate with the German fashion chain must offer a solution in 'sizing and fitting', 'styles & outfits' and 'inspirational content'. Start-ups that can offer advice on styles and sizing advice, for example, can apply. The online shop has a strong preference for European start-ups.
Head of Partnerships Marc Lamik says in a press release that Build fits within the online shop's platform strategy. 'Startups reach millions of consumers across Europe, while the partnership gives us the chance to apply new products and services and try out new things much faster.' The collaboration with Bllush will first be tested in the German sports category before being rolled out further.
