DACHSER Air & Sea Logistics has Jochen Müller recruited as chief operations officer (COO). Müller succeeds Thomas Reuter, who retired after 39 years at the logistics provider at the end of last year.
Müller joined DACHSER on 1 October 2016 to prepare for his task as COO. As COO Air & Sea Logistics and member of the Executive Board, Jochen Müller will continue Thomas Reuter's work. His core tasks include the further development of the intercontinental air and sea freight network and its interconnection with the European land transport network.
Müller comes from Schenker Germany AG, where, as a member of the Executive Board, he was responsible for the Central Europe region regarding air freight, sales (air and sea freight) and logistics for global relocations, trade fairs and sports events.
Before that, Müller was CEO of Schenker's UK subsidiary, where he was responsible for road, air and sea freight and exhibition logistics. "Jochen Müller has familiarised himself with our corporate structures and knows all DACHSER's processes and challenges on an international level," said Bernhard Simon, CEO of DACHSER.
