Albert Heijn is going to compete with Bloomon. The supermarket chain will deliver bouquets to consumers' homes from this week. It does so via a new webshop called 'AH Florist'.

Via bloemist.ah.nl, consumers can order fresh bouquets in three different price categories, ranging from 15 to 25 euros. They are given the option to add a personal message or a little extra to the package. Albert Heijn delivers orders placed before 22:00 the very next day. It says it does so "directly from the grower".

Customers pay 5 euros in shipping costs when ordering a bunch of flowers, and the bouquets are delivered from Monday to Saturday. Only this week, it also delivers on Sunday because of Mother's Day.
