The Van der Valk Hotel in Apeldoorn is getting into meal delivery. The hotel will use a cargo bicycle and an electric car to deliver meals at home under the name Valk Vers.

Valk Vers

The service is an initiative of entrepreneur Bob Zeeuw van der Laan. Last year, he opened a shop under the name Valk Vers near the Van der Valk hotel. Here, the meals are prepared and sold. Now, when checking out online, consumers can also choose to have the meal delivered.

Delivery boxes

To do so, Valk Vers works with delivery time slots. Consumers can place their order up to one hour in advance. For example, if the order needs to be delivered between 16:00 and 17:30, it needs to be placed before 15:00.

Meals for several evenings

Valk Vers will deliver chilled products, allowing customers to get meals for several evenings at home. The meals have a shelf life of up to five days. The service does not apply a minimum order amount, but does charge shipping costs of EUR 2.95. During the month of June, Valk Vers charges no delivery costs as a promotion.

Expansion

For now, Valk Vers only delivers in and around Apeldoorn. Zeeuw van der Laan does not rule out expanding the delivery service in the future.
