Meal delivery service Deliveroo is going to deliver meals to hotel guests' rooms in Brussels. To do so, it has created the service 'Deliveroom'.
Deliveroo has collaborated with ten hotels to design a menu, which hotel guests can access in their rooms. The restaurant meal is delivered to the hotel room and the cost is added to the room bill. Upon leaving the hotel, the customer pays the amount due.
Outcome for hotels without kitchens
With the new service, Deliveroo wants to unburden both hotels and hotel guests. Especially for smaller hotels, Deliveroom could offer a solution, giving them the opportunity to offer room service without having to invest in a hotel kitchen or extra staff.
Deliveroo is starting the service with ten hotels. This should reach 25 by the end of the year.
