Tom Omnichannel Management (TOM) is already up to a new location a month after opening a third distribution centre. The e-commerce company reportedly even has plans for a fifth property.
TOM, which has nine web shops, is growing faster than planned. The webshops' product range is growing and the number of orders continues to rise. The company wants to physically stock all the products it sells. "As a result, we never have to sell no to our customers and can continue to fulfil our delivery promises," says CEO Tom te Riele.
In July, TOM opened a third distribution centre in Bladel. This brought its total storage capacity to 31,000 square metres. Last week, it received the keys to the fourth property, writes trade title Emerce. This location offers 5,000 square metres of storage space, with a further expansion of 10,000 square metres planned for 2020.
