DHL Parcel will also continue to deliver parcels for Wehkamp for the next three years. The companies have renewed their agreement - after a cooperation of more than 30 years - once more. In the short term, Wehkamp and DHL Parcel want to work with shorter time slots.
In recent years, the companies have been focusing on improving service and customer focus, including faster delivery, working with time slots and offering the choice of delivery at a DHL ServicePoint or other pick-up point. It also introduced free Saturday delivery and evening delivery. Those measures led to a 20 per cent improvement in the net promoter score (NPS).
DHL and Wehkamp currently work with time slots of four hours. In the near future, they will test smaller time slots so that eventually they can choose between two-hour time slots.
