Shipping platform Sendcloud is expanding its portfolio with three new delivery services: Budbee, Trunkrs and Homerr. Through a new web link for logistics service providers, the carriers can be easily linked to Sendcloud.
Scale-up Sendcloud, now active in several European countries, is a shipping platform for online retailers. Through the new web link, called the LSP API, delivery services can connect their own API to the shipping platform and offer their services to European online retailers.
Budbee, Trunkrs and Homerr have already established the link, but Sendcloud says it is targeting multiple delivery services, regardless of volume or region. "In this way, the API also offers a solution for local delivery services, for whom it can be difficult to gain a foothold in the fast-growing world of e-commerce."
With the link, Sendcloud also hopes to entice retailers to adopt a multi-carrier strategy. This could be attractive, according to the tech company, due to the increasing demand for flexible delivery options, such as same-day delivery or green delivery.
