Knowing where your groceries ordered online stay is nice for every consumer. Albert Heijn has launched track&trace for online orders that are delivered to the home. Customers are kept informed by text message with real-time information about the groceries.

This makes Albert Heijn the first Dutch retailer to offer track&trace for groceries. The information is accurate to fifteen minutes, offering more flexibility for customers using the service, and the supermarket chain writes on its website that it wants to accommodate customers. "With the new service, customers can arrange their time more flexibly and having groceries delivered to their home offers even more convenience." Besides Albert Heijn, Etos and Gall&Gall also offer the service six days a week from 7am to 10.30pm. Here, groceries are delivered right to your kitchen. All three shops are part of Ahold.

Track your groceries
Ordered products can be tracked from the morning via Albert Heijn's website. The current schedule and any traffic delays through current traffic situations are displayed on the website so that customers know when their order will be delivered. This allows consumers to track the order and plan their own day more efficiently. Half an hour before the delivery of the groceries, the orderer receives a notification by mobile phone.
