Coolblue expands green delivery service CoolblueFietst to Tilburg. Today, the first loaded pack bikes left from Coolblue's future XXL shop in Tilburg.
The online retailer already cycles in seven major cities in the Netherlands and Belgium and now adds Tilburg. For CoolblueFietst, next-day delivery applies. Customers receive a 1-hour time slot. The e-commerce giant says it is still looking for delivery people for CoolblueFietst.
The online player uses physical shops for CoolblueFietst, with the Coolblue XXL shop in Tilburg opening in April. The shop already serves as a city hub for online orders, and customers can also collect their online orders there from April.
Record turnover 1.35 billion euros
Earlier this week, the web giant published its 2018 annual figures. Coolblue's turnover was 1.35 billion euros, and its operating profit was 27 million euros, up 28 per cent. Last year, the online retailer invested heavily in its own delivery service. For instance, it introduced CoolblueFietst and started delivering and installing TVs.
