Compared to a few weeks ago, a growing number of companies in transport and logistics expect to make use of emergency and relief measures. Also, more companies will have to say goodbye to staff.
This is according to TLN's fourth corona monitor. The loss of turnover has changed little in recent weeks. Some 71 per cent of companies have faced turnover loss since the corona virus outbreak. The average loss rate has fluctuated between 28 and 30 per cent since 1 March. The industry association stresses that this is an average and that significant differences can be seen within the sector between submarkets and companies.
More than 30 per cent of entrepreneurs expect to use emergency and relief measures, a slight increase compared to a few weeks ago. The number of companies expecting to lay off employees also grew, from 11 to 15 per cent. There is no major wave of layoffs yet. A majority of these companies are letting less than 10 employees go.
