DHL will deliver important documents and goods in London by helicopter. DHL is already using the service in New York and Los Angeles and is now expanding it to Europe. The helicopter is to ensure next-day delivery of urgent documents between the financial district of London, New York and Boston. The delivery time is then reduced by one day on average.
Time is money
“Certainlyin the financial sector, the saying ‘time is money’ rings true. With the helicopter service, we can serve these customers even faster,” said John Pearson, CEO of DHL Express Europe.DHL’s helicopter, a Bell 206 Jet Ranger, can carry around 300 kilos of letters and parcels.
