One thousand new BBL apprenticeships are being created in the Transport and Logistics sector. This should provide an answer to the challenges the sector faces in terms of de-greening and ageing.

The Transport and Logistics Sector Institute made agreements to this effect with Lodewijk Asscher, Minister of Social Affairs and Employment, Jet Bussemaker, Minister of Education, Culture and Science and Mirjam Sterk, ambassador for tackling youth unemployment.

For the new school year, the sector institute is offering apprenticeships to a thousand new BBL trainees on behalf of the sector. This is possible thanks to cooperation with hundreds of companies in the industry, such as Kuehne + Nagel and Transport Service Schelluinen (TSS), which, by signing their own Young People's Agreement, have agreed to make a large number of apprenticeships available for new students from the sector institute.
