Anyone who uses their forklift and warehouse trucks around the clock wants machines that excel in productivity. EP Equipment responds to this need with the lightning-fast and robust pallet trucks, stackers, reach trucks and forklift trucks from the PRO range. Their performance is comparable to that of machines from the well-known premium brands, but at a significantly lower price. One of the first customers is Sander Bonsel of DKL Logistics in Nijmegen: “The traditional premium brands have lost their natural advantage.”

For most companies, a pallet truck, stacker or forklift truck is sufficient for occasionally moving a pallet or loading a lorry. High reliability and low running costs are the key requirements these machines must meet. EP Equipment has been supplying forklift and warehouse trucks that excel in these applications for many years.

The situation changes when the volume of goods becomes so large that internal transport becomes a key task. As soon as a driver spends eight hours a day on their forklift, other requirements such as driving and lifting speed become more important. The better a machine performs, the greater the number of pallets a driver can handle and the higher the company’s productivity.

Lightning-fast and robust

With the PRO range, EP Equipment has introduced new forklift and warehouse trucks that stand out for their productivity. “This range has been specially developed for companies that demand the very best from their machines for eight hours every single day,” says Daaf Vunderink, director of EP Equipment NL. “Thanks to their high performance in areas such as travel speed and lift speed, our new machines can compete with those of all the well-known premium brands.”

As well as being lightning-fast, the machines are also extremely robust. Where possible, the plastic panels have been replaced with steel, which contributes to a long service life. By equipping the machines with fingertip and joystick controls as standard, the ergonomics of the drivers have also been taken into account. “And all this at an affordable price. Even the large logistics companies that prioritise productivity now have no excuse not to purchase EP machines,” says Vunderink with conviction.

Expandable battery system

The PRO range offers a comprehensive selection of pallet trucks, stackers, reach trucks and forklift trucks. The reach trucks have a lifting capacity of 1,400 or 1,600 kilograms, whilst the PRO forklift trucks are available with lifting capacities ranging from 2.5 to 3.5 tonnes. “What makes these trucks special is that they retain their full lifting capacity up to a lifting height of 4.80 metres. Normally, lifting capacity starts to decrease from 3.00 metres,” explains Vunderink.

All machines are available with the necessary options. Those wishing to improve performance and reduce risks can opt for a weighing indicator, altimeter and/or automatic levelling. “The battery system has a modular design. This means that companies can double the battery capacity and extend the operating time even at a later stage. We use only lithium batteries, so the machines can be fully charged again within two and a half hours using our fast chargers.”

“On a par with leading brands”

Both dealers and users report that the forklift trucks from EP Equipment’s PRO range perform on a par with machines from leading brands. “As we supply and maintain forklift trucks from a wide range of brands on a daily basis, we are able to make a fair comparison. The EP Equipment PRO series has pleasantly surprised us. The performance, finish and reliability are at a level that you would now expect from traditional top-tier brands,” says Bas Mulder of Mulder Heftruckservice in Ulft.

For logistics service provider DKL Logistics, everything revolves around reliability, uptime and low operating costs. “We now have more than 150 machines from EP Equipment, which have to perform under intensive conditions every day. The trucks from the EP Equipment PRO series fully meet our expectations in terms of quality, comfort and reliability. For us, the traditional premium brands have lost their obvious edge,” says Sander Bonsel of DKL Logistics in Nijmegen.

Electric rough-terrain forklift

A standout feature of the PRO range is the high-voltage trucks with a lifting capacity of 5 to 25 tonnes. High voltage means they are fitted with a 309- or 618-volt battery instead of an 80-volt one. As a result, they deliver just as much power as the diesel forklifts normally used for heavier work, whilst the price is generally 30 to 40 per cent lower. “We sell a lot of them, for example to ports or metalworking companies. We recently delivered another one that is being used for handling empty containers.”

The latest flagship model is EP Equipment’s high-voltage rough-terrain forklift. With its four-wheel drive, larger tyres and higher ground clearance, this powerhouse can also cope with unpaved surfaces. According to Vunderink, this machine is the first in its class to feature electric four-wheel drive. “These days, rough-terrain forklifts are frequently used in setting up festivals. Organisers are increasingly asking for electric machines for environmental reasons. With our RTF25-35 4WD HV trucks, we now have a solution to that.”
