Transport companies should reckon with extra traffic on the roads on 24 April. The May holiday and the long weekend due to King's Day will start then.

Truck drivers should expect traffic jams on the highways around Amersfoort, the A12 Utrecht-Arnhem, the A28 Utrecht-Zwolle and on the roads towards the coast. During Koningsdag on 27 April, trucks would do well to avoid the city centres.

Labour Day
Labour Day may not be celebrated here, but our eastern neighbours are. On that day, trucks are banned from driving in Germany. Therefore, shippers' organisation EVO expects big crowds at car parks near the border. Lorries wanting to wait for Labour Day there should expect crowds. Especially the parking places at the A1 near Oldenzaal and the A67 near Venlo are likely to be full.
