Last Wednesday, Amazon celebrated its 20th anniversary. The etailer decided to celebrate with Amazon Prime Day, promising to stunt prices even more than on Black Friday.

And that turned out to be a success. While the offers only applied to Amazon Prime members, it still managed to sell more than 34.4 million products. That's a whopping 398 products every second.

Despite high sales, Amazon Prime Day did not go down well with many consumers. There were plenty of complaints on Twitter about the retailer's poor offers.
