Logistics in the Netherlands could be a bit more innovative, seems to be the thinking behind the Smart Logistics Hub. Last week, the hub, which should lead to innovative ideas in the logistics sector, was officially launched.

Three startups
In the space of a week, the Smart Logistics Hub has already secured three logistics startups. Bean to Barrel, BedrijvenCamping and Road Freight Specialis are now under the hub's wing. BeanToBarrel is exploring the possibility of upcycling coffee grounds into soil improver. The BedrijvenCamping will be carried out in the municipality of Zaanstad and Road Freight Specialist is the search engine for international transport and logistics.

18 million
The Smart Logistics Hub connects innovative startups with the government, market players, knowledge institutions and students. In doing so, it gets help from partners Schiphol, the Amsterdam Logistics Board and Dinalog Amsterdam. In addition, 18 million euros was made available for the hub from the Mainport Innovation Fund.
