Easyfairs, organiser of Empack and Packaging Innovations, has decided after intensive consultations to move the trade shows, which were to take place in Brussels on 25 and 26 November, to another date. The company announced this via a press release.

"In the interest of the packaging community, Easyfairs is forced to move Empack and Packaging Innovations. Following the prevailing threat level 4 in the Brussels region, it is, in our opinion, safer to move the events to Mechelen," the company announced. "The safety of visitors and exhibitors is of the highest priority for Easyfairs. Even if the highest threat level were lifted, the organisation expects that moving to Mechelen will make both visitors and exhibitors feel safer."

The fair will now take place at De Nekkerhal in Mechelen on 1 and 2 December. This event hall is outside the Brussels region and is not within the area where the heightened threat level is in force. All admission tickets for Brussels will apply without prejudice to Mechelen.
