Coolblue started delivering products through its own delivery service at the end of January 2016. Under the name CoolblueBezorgt, the electronics company delivers white goods orders to customers. Coolblue plans to roll out the service further this year and hopes to have an estimated 50 blue vans on the road by the end of 2016.

In a press release, Coolblue says it has been in a test phase for some time: "Since 1 October 2015, part of the white goods orders have been delivered by Coolblue itself. The test phase has now been successfully completed and from today the real roll-out will begin. Fifteen vans will be started in Brabant and part of Limburg in particular." Possibly, the company will also expand the delivery service to Belgium.

Goals
The company is happy with the delivery service because it wants customers to be satisfied customers. "Since the day it was founded, Coolblue has had one main goal: to make customers happy. However, on one part of the whole process - from ordering to receiving a parcel - the company had no influence yet. From today, Coolblue is working to change this."

Who delivers what
Because Coolblue's delivery drivers actually work for the company, the company knows who comes to deliver the order. Co-founder and director Pieter Zwart is very happy about that part: "We are happy that from now on we also know who comes to your home. We can now confidently let our delivery people drop by your grandma's house."

Waiting rewarded
Endless waiting for a delivery driver who does not come after all is not necessary, the company guarantees. "CoolblueBezorgt applies a time period of 60 minutes. So you don't have to stay at home for more than an hour. You don't have to worry about whether Coolblue's deliverers will really come, because they will come anyway. Coolblue sends a text message with the delivery time and calls half an hour before delivery to make sure you are at home. And do you want to keep an eye on Coolblue's deliverers? Then you can do so in real time via a Track & Trace code."

More capacity
As Coolblue has grown significantly in recent years, the company also announced that its distribution centre in Tilburg will be doubled, to more than sixty thousand square metres.
