Boston Dynamics has made public the latest version of its Atlas robot. The humanoid robot is stable on its two legs and almost impossible to knock over. The logistics industry is also looking at the robot with great interest as it could potentially be used in the warehouse.

The robot is owned by Google but developed by Boston Dynamics. Boston Dynamics published a video in which employees try to knock the robot off its feet by making changes to its actions. The robot reacts and adapts almost in a human way. The robot picks up boxes and even after the researcher shoves the box away from it, the robot continues to follow the boos. The robot does not just fall over, even to a hefty push, but corrects its movements. The robot can also open doors and also walks through uneven terrain and snow with ease.

Advanced robots
The robot is currently considered the most advanced human robot in the world. Besides human robots, the US company also makes beast-like robots such as the 'the wildcat' and the 'Bigdog'. The latter can carry 150 kg of luggage and is currently being tested by the US Navy. The fastest robot made by the company runs around 45 kilometres per hour
