Entrepreneurs in logistics are eager for female colleagues. That would improve safety in warehouses, according to shippers' association EVO after a tour of companies with a warehouse.
Women would make good forklift drivers and have a high regard for safety. EVO even concludes that companies with a relatively high number of women working in the warehouse have far fewer accidents. This is said to be because women are more aware of their surroundings. They observe safety regulations more strictly, such as driving lanes for forklifts and wearing safety clothing.

In response to the survey, EVO is launching a forklift training course specifically for women. This 'Women Only' forklift course should ensure that women also choose the profession. On the course, they can choose whether they prefer to be taught by a female or male instructor.
