The originally Belgian webshop Vente-Exclusive.com only delivers parcels in Amsterdam in an environmentally friendly way. The company is teaming up with Bubble Post, which it also works with in Belgium, for this purpose.
Electric cars and delivery bikes
Bubble Post is a Belgian city distributor, but since last year it also delivers in the Dutch cities of Utrecht and Amsterdam. The company delivers in a sustainable way because they use only electric cars and delivery bikes to deliver the parcels.
Depot on the outskirts of the city
Parcels are first taken to a depot on the outskirts of the city and further delivered there as sustainably as possible. According to the company, relieving the burden on the busy city centre ensures ecological and also fast delivery. "Through this alternative transport method, we relieve the city centre. For the suppliers, it is more comfortable and also more economical. After all, they no longer have to drive into the busy city centre," says Yan Ketelers, press officer at Bubble Post.
The company started three years ago in Ghent. In Belgium, Bubble Post delivers for large customers such as coffee brand Nespresso and flower shop Bloomon, among others.
