Mark van der Drift has been appointed director of logistics service provider Cornelissen Groep as of 1 June. He takes over from Henk Cornelissen, the third generation of the family concern.

In his previous position, Van der Drift worked as senior director Transport & Inbound Logistics at Ahold Delhaize. Before that, he was transport manager at Ahold. As general manager at Cornelissen, Van der Drift says he will focus on further professionalising the organisation. "Better logistics, that is our driving force. That's what we've grown up with. Through smart and sustainable innovations, optimal service to our customers and continuous attention to every link in the chain, we combine the strength and warmth of the family business with new ideas for the future," says the new managing director.

Cornelissen Groep has around 300 employees and provides distribution and warehousing for the retail and pharma sectors. Henk Cornelissen will remain involved in the Nijmegen-based family business even after his retirement.
