Prologis has acquired a 2,428-square-metre distribution centre on the Fokker Logistics Park at Schiphol. With the purchase of the building, Prologis owns over 120,000 square metres of logistics property at the park.
The distribution centre will be leased to an international logistics provider. "By adding the distribution centre to our portfolio at Schiphol, we are further building on our leading position at this international hub of cargo traffic," said Sander Breugelmans, Vice President Transactions Officer in a press release.
Fokker Logistics Park is Europe's largest privately owned airport-adjacent logistics park. According to Prologis, the demand for property at the park is high due to its convenient location near Schiphol Airport, where 1.7 million tonnes of cargo were transported last year. The park is also considered one of the most secure sites around Schiphol.
