UberEATS expands to Rotterdam. The service will deliver meals from one hundred affiliated restaurants in Rotterdam between 11:00 and 23:00.

Consumers who want to use UberEATS will have to download a separate app to do so. However, they can log in with their existing Uber account. They then select a restaurant of their choice and choose a meal there. Bicycle couriers will then deliver half an hour after the order is placed.

UberEATS launched in Amsterdam last year. The meal service has no minimum order amount. Even for dessert, consumers can engage the bicycle couriers. With this, it aims to compete with delivery services such as Deliveroo and Foodora, both of which apply a minimum order amount of 12.50. Users at UberEATS do pay delivery charges when the order is under 20 euros.
