UniCarriers expands its Tergo reach truck series. The TERGO UHD 160 with a load capacity of 1600 kilograms and a maximum lift height of 10.8 metres completes the product family. With this, UniCarriers focuses mainly on applications in logistics and industry, where high turnaround speeds and high stacking heights must be achieved.
The performance of the new TERGO UHD 160 comes into its own especially in demanding tasks and multi-shift working, as the semi-automatic Fast Track Powerplus System allows battery change within a minute. In the standard version, the reach truck achieves a maximum speed of 12.5 kilometres per hour, with optional acceleration up to 14.5 kilometres per hour, ensuring a high pallet tipping speed.
New stability programmes such as the S3 Soft Motion System should ensure better performance. Taking into account various parameters, such as the actual lift height, this technology controls the reach and tilt of the lift mast and sideshift. S3 is complemented by the Mast Tilt Control System (MTC). This system stabilises the mast and reduces vibrations by 80 per cent. When positioning pallets at the correct storage level, the operator is supported by the enhanced Level Assistance System (LAS). LAS analyses control commands so that the forks automatically stop at the correct level. UniCarriers has applied these features to all TERGO models.
