Logistics service provider CB and Bruna are going to work more closely together. The supply towards Bruna shops will be increased, so that online orders from consumers will be ready in Bruna branches the next day.
For home delivery, Bruna already offered next-day delivery. Customers who order a book before 11pm via Bruna.nl will receive it the next day. Because delivery was made to Bruna branches on fixed days, it took longer for consumers to collect the order in the store. From now on, CB will visit shops daily on weekdays. As a result, not only will customer orders arrive faster, but stock will also be replenished faster.
No extra expenses due to new delivery rhythm
Calculations by Bruna and CB would have shown that the new delivery rhythm does not involve extra costs. This is because more expensive interim orders by entrepreneurs are now a thing of the past. "We have an even more up-to-date offer, customers respond very positively and they order more. So we are improving service levels and at the same time facing competition, both a matter of honour for Bruna and its entrepreneurs," said Bruna general manager George Steur.
