Fast and error-free order picking is essential for successful logistics. Smart and affordable solutions will be showcased at the Scala Pick during Logistica 2017, putting that success within reach.

A fast and error-free order picking process is crucial for both B2C and B2B chains. More and more solutions enable fast, error-free picking. The Scala Pick offers trade fair visitors an insight into the possibilities with which such a fast and error-free order picking process can be achieved. Among other things, compact, space-saving goods-to-man and goods-to-robot solutions will be on display. Solutions for man-to-goods concepts will also be presented, including a handy pick cart with pick to light technology.

Right data essential

In all cases, having the right data is essential. After all, this can prevent errors during the picking process. During the demonstration, a mobile measuring and weighing solution will be presented for this purpose, ensuring that all master data are correctly entered into the ERP and/or WMS.

Furthermore, the Scala will show the advantages of combining optimal packing table logistics and modular conveyor technology, and how returns can be efficiently processed and stored.

Peek into the future

Prior to the presentation at the Scala Pick, exhibition visitors will have the opportunity to take a look at the warehouse of the future using virtual reality.

Expert commentary

The demonstrations on the Scalas last about 20 minutes each and are repeated every hour. An expert consultant from the VeLa (Association of Logistics Advisors) provides commentary on each demonstration. From the demo area, fair visitors have a good view of the simulated warehouse situation. Moreover, the processes demonstrated are shown in close-up on large screens. Of course, after each demonstration there will be plenty of time to discuss the demonstrated (sub)processes in more detail.

Participating suppliers: Human Workspace, TGW Systems, Pcdata, Logitrade Logistic Systems, Kardex Systems, Valor, Smart Robotics/Gibas, VeLa and Nedcon.
