Uber is expanding its service next week with Christmas tree delivery. Last year, the service was already tested in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and The Hague. Eindhoven and Utrecht are also up for a test this year.

Consumers who prefer to stay at home can order a Christmas tree on Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 December between 12.00 and 20.00 in the Uber app. This tree comes from DIY store Praxis and will be delivered to the customer's home for 30 euros, including a discount coupon from the DIY store and Christmas biscuits. The customer can follow the tree's exact route via the app.

Interestingly, Uber has engaged a third party for the delivery. The Nordmann Christmas trees are between 1.75 and 2 metres tall and therefore do not fit in Uber's regular cars.
