Logistics service provider DB Schenker will become the official exhibition forwarder of Rotterdam Ahoy. Today both parties signed a five-year contract.
The event location in Rotterdam is to be expanded in the near future with an international conference centre - comprising 35 halls - and a concert hall. The expansion will be integrated into Ahoy's existing structure.
"DB Schenker's experience as a service provider in exhibition logistics - not only in the Netherlands but also worldwide - and their strategic outlook convinced us to join forces with them," says Gert-Jan van den Nieuwenhoff, General Manager Business-to-Business of Rotterdam Ahoy. "The logistics landscape around Ahoy is in a major state of flux due to the expansion of our accommodation that is currently taking place and will be completed in 2020. The mobility solutions offered by Schenker Logistics will further optimise logistics around Ahoy."
