Fulfilment player Amacom, in full The Amazing Company, is expanding with a new logistics centre in 's-Hertogenbosch. The first parcels should roll off the belt in mid-September.
Last week, managing director Dick Engels put his signature under the new plans for Amacom. With a new location, in combination with the existing offices and warehouses, the supplier of consumer electronics, white goods, brown goods and IT hopes to meet the increasing demand in fulfilment.
Amacom handles purchasing, sales as well as distribution for more than a thousand (web) shops in the Benelux. The space within Amacom's three current warehouses, meanwhile, is no longer sufficient. "The new logistics centre, partly thanks to the additional loading docks and the extra floor in the warehouse, offers plenty of opportunities to cope with an even higher logistics workload," Engels says of the plans.
The new building is located at the Kievitsven in the municipality of 's-Hertogenbosch. The Amazing Company will receive the keys to the new building in mid-August. In September, the operational team and much of the warehouse stock will be moved to the site.
