Amsterdam Airport Schiphol goes home for the fourth time with the award for best airport in Europe. The title was presented at the Asian Freight, Logistics & Supply Chian (AFLAS) Awards 2018. Air France KLM Martinair Cargo was named Europe's best cargo airline.
The annual election, organised by Asia Cargo News, distinguishes companies that are leaders in the entire supply chain. Criteria for this award are innovation, service, customer relationship management and reliability. The readers of Asia Cargo News are allowed to extend their vote, with which the award mainly shows the popularity among the public.
"We are very happy with this award, which shows how the cargo industry values Schiphol," commented Maaike van der Windt, Head of Aviation Marketing at Schiphol. "We work closely with the cargo community at and around Schiphol with the aim of becoming Europe's smartest cargo hub. We do this mainly by devising and implementing digital and innovative solutions together with the chain parties."
