Medical producer Hollister Incorporated has swapped its distribution centre in Etten-Leur for a more spacious location in Oud Gastel.
Due to growth, the developer and seller of medical devices was forced to expand its logistics capacity. Hollister chose to build a new European distribution centre in Oud Gastel, which was officially opened at the end of May. The site covers an area of 30,000 square metres, making it three times the size of the former facility in Etten-Leur.
Inter was responsible for much of the intralogistics in the warehouse. Here, Inter installed the Warehouse Control System Inther LC and associated hardware, including print & apply and box erectors, connected by conveyor systems. The entire system is distributed over both the ground floor and the 3,560-square-metre mezzanine.
