After ten years of chairmanship, Ruud Vat bids farewell to FENEX, advocacy organisation for forwarders and logistics service providers, handing over the baton to NedCargo director Roderick de la Houssaye.

Last decade, Vat supervised, among other things, the integration of FENEX into Transport en Logistiek Nederland. His successor, De la Houssaye, has been on the FENEX board since 2011.

"It is a great honour to represent, together with the board, the Dutch forwarding sector," De la Houssaye wrote in a press statement. "We live in a challenging time with themes that are important for our sector such as digitalisation, a highly volatile market and major changes in customs including the Brexit. In addition, FENEX owes many thanks to Ruud Vat, who represented FENEX with heart and soul for a long time."
