De Winter Logistics acquires industry colleague R. Gorissen Transport. All activities of the logistics service provider will be continued under the banner of De Winter Logistics from 1 July.

In a press release, De Winter Logistics reports that all staff of R. Gorissen Transport will be transferred, as well as the Waddinxveen branch. This expands the network of De Winter Logistics - itself based in Honselersdijk - with an additional location.

De Winter Logistics and R. Gorissen Transport both operate in the floriculture sector. With the combination of different branches, De Winter Logistics says it can better respond to changing customer requirements.

Local presence

"Local presence in the regions where we operate is crucial for successful service provision," said Eric de Winter and Arnoud de Vries of De Winter Logistics. "We will therefore continue all activities from the current location and create synergy through the existing, extensive network. In addition, by strengthening the network in this region, De Winter Logistics can further improve services for existing customers."

Continuity of personnel

René Gorissen says of the takeover: "I am very pleased with this. Our existing customers can now also use the network of De Winter Logistics. This offers many advantages for our customers and also provides continuity for our staff."
