SSI Schäfer's pouch sorter system won the Handling Award 2018 at Motek trade fair in Stuttgart. SSI Schäfer won the award in the 'Warehousing, order picking and intralogistics' category.
SSI Schäfer designed the modular pouch sorter system for parallel processing of multiple distribution channels, which is to serve primarily as a dynamic return buffer for e-commerce. The pouch sorter achieves performance speeds of up to 10,000 pouches (load carriers) per hour and can be used for all kinds of products such as shoes, electronics, household appliances, cosmetics or fashion.
Innovative technologies to improve production process
The supplier was awarded the Handling Award 2018 at trade fair Motek in Stüttgart, Germany, an award presented to innovative technologies that contribute to improving the production process.
Long-term investment
According to Michael Mohr, Executive Vice President Sales at SSI Schäfer, the award "underscores the focus and long-term investment in product and solution development at SSI Schäfer": "We designed the SSI-Carrier with direct customer focus, developing an intelligent solution to meet today's omnichannel distribution challenges, receive very positive feedback and have high demand in the market."
