The nominees for the Safest Warehouse Award have been announced. Five companies stand a chance of winning gold, silver and bronze in February. Back of the way is the small warehouses category.
In the small warehouses category (25 employees or less), Smurfit Kappa Zedek and Synerlogic are nominated. The other three nominees are in the large warehouses (more than 25 employees) category: Valeo Service, Bosch Thermotechnology and Albert Heijn.
The Safest Warehouse Prize was established by BMWT, evofenedex and Tempo-Team to give safety in logistics an extra boost. On 6 February 2020, during Warehouse Day, the award will be presented for the fourteenth time.
Jury visit
All nominees underwent a comprehensive audit covering various aspects of safety. In October, the jury will visit the nominees' warehouses, after which prof. René de Koster of Erasmus University Rotterdam, the awards will be distributed.
Gold, silver, bronze
In each category, participants can receive a gold, silver or bronze rating. A sum of money is also attached to each rating, intended to further strengthen the safety culture in the warehouse.
