On 5 November, the doors of the Netherlands' largest logistics platform, Logistica and ICT & Logistiek, will open at the Jaarbeurs. With more than 350 exhibitors and as many lectures, it can be hard to see the wood for the trees. Therefore an overview of some highlights from the exhibition programme.
Seeing before believing at the Logistica Scala's
The exhibition showcases the latest products and systems from exhibitors. But how do you apply these solutions in practice? At Scala's Logistica, visitors can experience the latest innovations live in a practical environment.
In three different ranges (Smart Warehousing, Material Handling & Intern Transport and AGV), cooperating exhibitors will provide hands-on demos. Among them are companies such as TGW, Knapp, A-safe, Carton Mover, Movigo and Bito. Visitors can make their own route through the scala, or follow an interactive tour guided by an expert.
IFOY Award winners
A first in hall 4, the hall for material handling and internal transport, where the winners of the prestigious IFOY Award show their intralogistics solutions. The reach truck from Jungheinrich is present, the AGV from Still, the forklift from UniCarriers and the smart glove from ProGlove.
Packaging solutions for e-commerce
Online retail has shattered conventional shopping paradigms. However, current packaging solutions are mainly based on conventional retail. This needs to change. Web Retail Packaging 2019 at Logistica will discuss how, and will take place during the first day of the exhibition (5 November) in Hall 2.
Logistica Award
Which innovative logistics solution will take over from titleholder Prime Vision? Will it be Eurotec, VebaBox, Copal Handling Systems or Robomotive? On 5 November, during the opening of Logistica, the winner of the Logistica Award will be announced. In addition to the jury prize, the nominees have a chance to win the public award. You can vote for your favourite here until Friday 01 November 17:00.
