Swedish fashion brand Chiquelle has moved its logistics operation from Sweden to the Netherlands in the new year. The brand is working from Almere with logistics service provider Bleckmann.

Logistics for all Chiquelle's European operations will now be handled from premises at the XL Businesspark in Almelo. The brand speaks of a 'strategic location in the centre of Europe's economic heart'. the move from Sweden to the Netherlands took ten days. Since 7 January, Chiquelle has been operating in the Almelo distribution centre.

From the Netherlands, Chiquelle hopes to grow in the Benelux countries, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The collaboration with Bleckmann, which specialises in fashion logistics, should contribute to that growth. "We have long had ambitious growth ambitions, but we knew it was necessary to secure profitable and sustainable development for the future as well. We expect to reduce our distribution costs by a third and free up more time to focus on other core areas of the business, such as designs and productions," said Pouya Boland, co-founder and CEO of Chiquelle.
