Bol.com wants to have 500,000 square metres of warehouse space by 2025, double the amount it has today. The web giant mainly expects to need extra space for partner sellers.
Emerce writes. Bol.com wants to broaden its product range and expects the number of external sellers on the platform to grow explosively in the coming years, from 48,000 to 75,000. The online shop also wants to take their logistics out of their hands. In four years' time, it expects to act as logistics provider for 90 per cent of all orders.

At the end of 2018, bol.com was still only using 50,000 square metres of logistics space. The online retailer currently operates with five logistics locations. A sixth location will be added soon.
