Cooblue expands into Germany. In the Düsseldorf area, customers can order white goods from the retailer. As in the Netherlands, Coolblue will take care of delivery and installation. The first washing machine was delivered to homes today by the recognisable blue van.
The German-language website and app have been live since today for customers in the Düsseldorf area. "Recently, we have been working incredibly hard to expand our infrastructure to Germany," CEO Pieter Zwart says of the launch. "This not only means hiring and employing German-speaking Coolblue'ers, but also, for example, setting up customer-focused product journeys and designing our blue box, bag, bus and bike."

The etailer is starting to expand its own delivery network, installation service, bicycle network and shops in the region. The first step is the delivery and installation of white goods, followed by televisions. White goods were chosen because Coolblue controls the entire process in this product group, from sales to delivery and installation. In this way, the retailer hopes to offer a distinctive shopping experience in Germany. Within three to four months, Coolblue also plans to start cycling in Germany. The first parcels are then expected to be delivered by bicycle.
Zwart: "More product types and services will soon follow and we will deliver as many small-product orders as possible to customers by bike. And yes... there will also be a physical shop soon, of course."
Next day delivery
Coolblue promises German customers next-day delivery. Orders will be delivered and installed to customers from its warehouse in Tilburg.
