The Audax Group, the parent company of Bruna and AKO, is teaming up with lastmile company Homerr. One hundred stores from Audax's portfolio have now joined Homerr's neighbourhood point network. Audax Logistics provides transport to the locations.
Homerr's network consists of neighbourhood and service points. Neighbourhood points are individuals who are at home at regular intervals. Service points are local shops and restaurants with longer opening hours. Neighbours can have their parcels delivered to these points and thus avoid the delivery man standing in front of a closed door. One hundred Audax branches, including Bruna and AKO, have now been added to Homerr's service points network.
Audax Logistiek will deliver and collect parcels from Homerr service points and private neighbourhood points. In this way, the two parties think they can make smart use of Audax's daily transport movements. Working with neighbourhood points also creates more delivery capacity without using extra transport.
"Audax and Homerr share the common goal of combining as many logistics flows as possible," stated Casper de Nooijer, CEO of Audax Group. "As a logistics retailer, we can reduce CO2 emissions by increasing efficiency."
Audax expects to add more branches to the Homerr network in the coming months.
